Operation Trinket



At 05.00hrs on Friday 20th July 2018, 11 simultaneous warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act, across Wigan and Merseyside.

This was following a 7 month covert investigation into a conspiracy to manufacture and supply Class A drugs (heroin/cocaine) following the discovery of 375 kilos of heroin adulterant being produced at an industrial unit in Marus Bridge Wigan, and 115 kilos of heroin adulterant within a factory in Merseyside.

Four men have been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug

  • Mark Talbot (02/05/1972) of Kilburn Avenue, Ashton in Makerfield
  • Paul Witter (21/07/1978) of Trinity Gardens, Ashton in Makerfield
  • Richard McDonough (01/06/1967) of Croft Close, Birkenhead
  • Joseph Manley (05/09/1966) of Landseer Road, Merseyside

Joseph Manley (05/09/1966) has also been charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

8 other suspects involved in this conspiracy have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

There were 12 arrests in total, 6 vehicles seized, 1.5 kilos of cannabis, 2 kilos heroin, 0.5 kilo cocaine, £4000 cash, £100,000 in watches, £100,000 in designer clothing seized.
