The Modern Slavery Helpline and Resource Centre brings us closer to the eradication of modern slavery. It provides victims, the public, statutory agencies and businesses access to information and support on a 24/7 basis.
Through the Helpline:
We have retained the existing Helpline number previously used by the NSPCC - 08000 121 700. The number is free to call and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Helpline, based in Bedfordshire, commenced operations in October 2016. To ensure it provides the services potential callers want, we are working closely with a range of diverse stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, non-governmental organisations, businesses, media and faith organisations. Our advisory board will allow stakeholders to feed in their expertise, and our long-term communications strategy will continue to raise awareness for the Helpline, ensuring its benefits are maximised.
